I love the user interface, design and graphics. Today let me show you how to create a photo-realistic key with Adobe Photoshop.

Step 1: base layer

Create a new document 512×512 pixel size. Add a new layer named “base” and draw a rounded (32 pixel round) square 300×300 pixel.

Next, add some base effect:

Step 2: Key layer

Add a new layer named “key” over the base layer. Draw a square again (like step 1) but 230×230 pixel size. Apply the following effects:

Ok, now you should see something like this:

Step 3: shadow layer

As you can see the our “key” is almost ready now we will add some special effect to achieve a more photo-realistic key. Select the base layer by clicking the layer (or press CTRL).

Then press both CTRL + ALT and click on “key” layer. Now we have removed the base form.

Select shade as 

Decrease the opacity as shown in the last image:

Step 4: Noise layer

If you take a close a look a key, you’ll notice the plastic material. Select all base layer and create a new layer with the same shape.

Next, add noise:

After that, add 3D effect.

Set burn method:
